The Park entrance is thirty miles from Globe (Highway 88). WHEN TO VISIT Open year round. Peak visitor month is March. Climate: January, 36 to 76 degrees F; July, 80 to 108 degrees F. Average annual precipitation, 0 - 8 inches. October to early June weather is pleasant. POINTS OF INTEREST These well-preserved cliff dwellings were occupied during the 13th and 14th centuries by Salado Indians who farmed in the Salt River Valley.
